Greg Day – Managing Director

Clout Communications Ltd is headed up by Greg Day, who has an established track record and formidable reputation across the PR entertainment sector. The agency specialises in theatre, TV, film, talent representation and events.

Greg Day has over 20 years experience as a publicist.

He was Senior Press Officer at Channel 4 from 1990 – 1998 and Head of Publicity, Drama & Entertainment for Channel 5 from 1998 to Dec 2000.

Greg also worked as a press officer for Columbia Pictures.

Additionally, Greg is a former actor, playwright and theatre producer.
He has written six stage plays which have been performed in London, Munich and Brussels and two radio plays for BBC Radio 4.

In his capacity as writer and publicist he has lectured across the UK and Europe.

He is also a UKCP registered psychotherapist, M.A. Dip.

Oliver joly

Olivier Joly – PR Associate

Olivier Joly is a seasoned publicist with over 20 years’ experience working in the cultural sector and the creative industries.

Olivier spent 15 years in Scotland, first working as a press and marketing consultant for touring dance and theatre companies as well as organisations such as Dance Base and Theatre Workshop.

He was Press Manager for the Edinburgh International Book Festival and the Edinburgh International Film Festival before joining the Scottish Book Trust as PR Manager, where he worked on campaigns for a variety of literary events and award ceremonies.

In 2010, Olivier moved to London to manage cultural projects for the Quebec Government Office and went on to work in Fashion PR for the next 3 years, handling accounts for young designers.

Passionate about the visual arts, Olivier set up Olivier Joly Publicity in 2014 with the aim to offer PR support to emerging artists.

She founded MLPR, a leading fashion and lifestyle communication consultancy representing a portfolio of designer & lifestyle brands.

She is an expert in brand building, strategic communications and digital campaign and is the co-founder of www.thefclub.uk a site that explores what it’s like to be a woman in your forties and fifties today.

She’s an Instagram specialist and her partner business, Social Paradise both trains businesses and brands on how to optimise their channels and managed accounts.

Paul Smith

Paul Smith – PR Associate

Paul is a seasoned publicist with a background in film and arts-related organisations.

Having worked for Edinburgh International Film Festival and Sgrîn, Media Agency for Wales in the 90s, he joined Tartan Films/Video in 2000 where he helped develop their hugely successful Asia Extreme brand.

During his time at The Associates PR, he handled genre and horror titles for a wide range of distributors.

Freelance clients include Peccadillo Pictures, BFI London Film Festival, Sheffield Doc/ Fest, Iris Gay & Lesbian Short Film Prize, Cine Excess, British Council, Romanian Cultural Institute, Association of Illustrators and graphic novel publisher, SelfMadeHero.

A writer and lecturer with broadcasting experience, he is a board member of Fresh Student Film Festival of Wales.

For Clout Communications Paul is part of the Frightfest team and works on film-related press and PR campaigns.

Alan Jones

Alan Jones – PR Associate

Alan Jones is a world renowned film journalist, critic, author and broadcaster whose four decade credentials in the horror genre are second to none.

He has written for the most iconic magazines in the field – Cinefantastique, Fangoria, Starburst – and wrote the best-selling books ‘Profondo Argento’, ‘The Rough Guide to Horror Movies’ and ‘Lara Croft: Tomb Raider’.

An expert in the Disco field; his book ‘Saturday Night Forever: The Story of Disco’ has been constantly reprinted in the UK, Italy and America since it was published in 1999, and the ‘Disco Discharge’ CD series that he has written the sleeve notes for is now up to its 16th volume.

For Clout Communications Alan is retained as a Film Unit Publicist. Credits include: ‘Elfie Hopkins’, ‘May I Kill U?’, ‘Tulpa’, ‘Await Further Instructions’ and the forthcoming ‘Once Upon a Time in London’.
