LEGEND announces May 2026 premieres

May on LEGEND sees an action-packed mix of classic and contemporary thrillers, headed by Sergio Leone’s brilliant ONCE UPON A TIME IN AMERICA, starring Robert De Niro and James Woods on top form, Joel Schumacher’s tense legal drama THE CLIENT, starring Susan Sarandon and Tommy Lee Jones, Spike Lee’s Neo-noir remake of Park Chan-wook’s 2003 South Korean cult masterpiece OLD BOY, and Sydney Pollack’s political spy thriller THREE DAYS OF THE CONDOR, widely regarded as a quintessential example of the 1970s “paranoia” cinema.
Then there is IMMORTALS, Tarsem Singh’s epic, visceral retelling of Greek mythology, starring Henry Cavell and Mickey O’Rourke, Andrew Nicol’s IN TIME, a dystopian science fiction action-thriller, starring Justin Timberlake and Cillian Murphy, and THE YOUNG AMERICANS, a British crime thriller directed by Danny Cannon and starring Harvey Keitel and Viggo Mortensen.

A streetwise 11-year-old boy (Brad Renfro) witnesses the suicide of a mob lawyer and learns where a senator’s body is buried. Worried for his family, he hires a lawyer (Susan Sarandon) to protect him from both the Mafia and a ruthless federal prosecutor (Tommy Lee Jones) who seems more concerned with making headlines than with his young witness’s safety.

Inspired by the ‘70s hit TV series, Colin Farrell plays Jim Street, a former S.W.A.T. team member demoted after a controversial decision made during a robbery standoff. He gets a chance to redeem himself when team commander Dan Harrelson (Samuel L. Jackson) is assigned to recruit and train five top-notch cops for a new Special Weapons and Tactics unit.
